Kiehls Avocado Eye Cream Review

 

This has been quite hyped , so I thought I’d try it out and see for myself.

I purchased my first pot 2 years ago , i got the 28ml  it seemed better in price as the pot is bigger. I’ve been using this eye cream for nearly 2 years  (now on my second pot). I can say it has become one of my go to eye cream! If you have dry under eyes this is the eye cream for you.

The Kiehl’s website the description states

• A creamy, moisturising eye treatment formulated with Avocado Oil
• Kiehl’s rich and creamy Avocado Eye Treatment is much loved by our patrons.
• The unique, concentrated texture is enriched with Avocado to gently moisturise the delicate eye area.
• The formula does not migrate into eyes and is Ophthalmologist and Dermatologist-Tested.

This is a rich and creamy eye cream that works wonderfully for my under-eye area. It is also gentle as it doesn’t sting my eyes. I notice the skin under my eyes look and feel softer and smoother.

It has improved the appearance under my eyes however it doesn’t give any long-term benefits as it doesn’t help reduce the dryness or dark circles, it only helps the dryness when using the cream.

 Note that it only hydrates, it doesn’t have any brightening or anti-aging effects, so if you’re looking for an eye cream with these benefits, this cream may not be for you.

The jar can get unhygienic as you have to dip your finger in to get the product.

The Consistency

Very creamy and thick so only need a tiny amount.

The Application;

 I use a pea size amount and dab under the eyes and over the lids and wait until it’s completely dissolved within the skin.

 I use this in the morning rather than night only because  I use other products at night.

Then wait 5 minutes until i use any makeup products

Tip

You can keep this in the fridge to help enhance its cooling effect. It feels like it really de-puffs your eyes when it’s nice and cold.
